created by the artist Chad S. Hawkins. In 1989, at the age of seventeen, Chad started this unique temple series becoming the original LDS artist to involve hidden spiritual images in his artwork.
“When I was walking around on the temple grounds taking pictures,” said Chad, “I passed a newly married young couple. They were surrounded by family and friends as they posed for their wedding pictures. The couple looked so happy. The only thing that seemed to be on their minds was the love that they had for one another. They were excited to take on the challenges of life together. Inspired by this experience, I tried to capture the moment by putting an image in the clouds of a man’s hand sliding a ring on the finger of his bride; the statue of angel Moroni is the ring. It should be should be a goal for every Latter-day Saint to be married for time and all eternity.”
