The Manti Temple, located in central Utah, is one of a series of detailed pencil drawings and paintings created by the artist Chad S. Hawkins. Before drawing each temple Chad visits the temple site to research its history, construction, and beautiful surroundings. He then returns to his studio to draw the temple by referring to his notes, sketches, and photographs.
The site of the Manti Temple was selected by President Brigham Young. It is built upon a solid hill of rock where, and features towers that can be seen many miles distant as one enters the beautiful Sanpete Valley from both the north and south.
