Panama City Panama Temple

The Panama City Panama Temple is one of a series of detailed pencil drawings and paintings created by the artist Chad S. Hawkins. In 1989, at the age of seventeen, Chad started this unique temple series, becoming the original LDS artist to involve hidden spiritual images in his artwork.

The hidden image in this drawing features a famous local lighthouse. Located only three miles away from the temple, the Pacific Entrance Range Front Lighthouse is the first lighthouse to guide ocean vessels into the Panama Canal. This distinctive lighthouse's beam of light leads to the temple's entrance where blessings can provide protection from life's spiritual hazards.
