The Provo Utah Temple is one of a series of detailed pencil drawings and paintings created by the artist Chad S. Hawkins. In 1989, at the age of seventeen, Chad started this unique temple series, becoming the original LDS artist to involve hidden spiritual images in his artwork.
In this temple picture, Chad has sketched Christ in the mountains overlooking the temple, with his outstretched arms inviting all to come unto him. The Savior’s arms can be seen in the mountain ridges with the shadows forming the folds in his robe; his hands are found on both sides of the temple behind the trees.
