Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple

The Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple is one of a series of detailed pencil drawings and paintings created by the artist Chad S. Hawkins. In 1989, at the age of seventeen, Chad started this unique temple series, becoming the original LDS artist to involve hidden spiritual images in his artwork.

The Mayan Tikal Temple is one of the major structures in the largest archaeological sites in Mesoamerica. Located in northern Guatemala, this temple provided a pattern for the architecture of the Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple. The Tikal Temple has been subtly placed among the distant landscaping.
